Very Berries

With Summer peaking, Berries are all I can think of, smoothies, terrines, or simple chopped berries with sugar syrup and if not anything then just berries with yogurt and cream..

This year my berries consumption has been very little  actually next to nil..

I have hardly had the time to sit down and enjoy a bowl ful…

But hey that does not stop me from dreaming about them…

There riot of colours they have to offer just cheer me up and I could live on them literally

Plus Berries are healthy

One cup of strawberries contains over 100 mg of vitamin C, almost as much as a cup of orange juice. We need vitamin C for immune system function and for strong connective tissue. Strawberries also add a bit of calcium, magnesium, folate and potassium and only 53 calories. They are oh so guiltless fat free food…

Berries make me happy, they remind me of all that is bright and colourful. Whether they are gleaming in the river bed or down the valley or in my berry bowl, trust me I have one… I just adore them….. They are oh so very berries 😀
